Educatord are being examined to judge who is “highly qualified” and who is not. Competency in content areas and rigorous state certifications are demanded. Teachers ate expected to continuously upgrade their qualifications and- in the case of ELT- langauge level . And yet many of us, including many policymakers, do not consider the psychosocial climate in which teachers function, nor do we regularly examine the type and level of support that teachers need in order to function well.This talk outlines some key considerations for developing productive teacher collaborations.
