How to make students work using Quests
We are going to take you inside strange but incredibly joyful world of quests and puzzles. A quest-hunt-style puzzle is a data set. It can be a grid of letters, a sudoku, a video, an audio -- it can be anything that contains hidden information, which can eventually resolve into an answer that is a word or a phrase. Solving deviously difficult puzzles expands our minds in new directions, and it also helps us come at problems from diverse perspectives. Also, the solving process is great training for working with a team, knowing when to listen, when to share, and how to recognize the main idea. During our talk we'll tell you how to use quest and puzzles in education and how to benefit your students through game.
